Education-led coaching for outdoor and athletic individuals who want to build strength, capability, and confidence in their sport, their training, and themselves.

ABOUT THIS COACHING

I help athletes develop the knowledge, structure, and mindset needed to safely and confidently pursue demanding physical goals in the mountains, outdoors, and performance environments.
My work blends athletic coaching, health education, sports science, and real-world experience in mountain and outdoor settings to help you move beyond simply following a training plan — and into understanding how to train, how to adapt, and how to make better decisions as an athlete.
This is education-led coaching.
You won’t just be told what to do.
You’ll learn why your training is structured the way it is, how to adjust it when life, recovery, or fatigue changes, and how to become a more capable and self-aware athlete over time.
At the core of this work is a simple principle:
Before you can conquer a mountain, race, or goal — you first learn to understand and conquer yourself.
WHO I WORK WITH
I work with outdoor athletes and performance-focused individuals at all levels—from beginners to experienced athletes.

Athletes I’ve worked with include:
• Mountaineers and hikers
• Climbers
• Skiers and backcountry athletes
• Endurance athletes (ultra, trail, cycling, triathlon)
• Swimmers
• Aerial and movement-based athletes
• Strength athletes (powerlifting, strongman)
• Recreational athletes building consistency and capability
• Athletes returning from injury or rebuilding after setbacks
Whether your goal is a summit, race, sport performance goal, or simply feeling more capable in your body, this coaching is designed to meet you where you are and build from there.

RETURN TO SPORT & ATHLETE REBUILDING
Many athletes come to this coaching during periods of transition—whether returning from injury, rebuilding consistency after burnout, or regaining confidence after time away from training. In these cases, the focus shifts toward structured progression, capacity rebuilding, and restoring trust in both the body and the training process.
With a background in health education, athletic coaching, and medical experience, as well as personal experience recovering from major injury, I understand how complex this phase can feel.
While I do not replace a physician, physical therapist, or athletic trainer, I help athletes bridge the gap between rehab and performance by rebuilding strength, capacity, confidence, and clarity in a structured and progressive way.
HOW COACHING WORKS

This is not a template-based program.
It is a collaborative coaching relationship built around education, communication, and individualized development.
Initial Athlete Consultation
We begin with a 60-minute deep-dive session where we discuss:
• Goals and upcoming objectives
• Training history and experience
• Lifestyle, schedule, and stress load
• Strengths and limitations
• Injury history and movement considerations
• Mental and emotional relationship with training
This allows me to build a fully individualized development plan based on your actual life—not an ideal training scenario.
Athlete Development Plan
Your training is built specifically for you and evolves as you do.
Programming may include:
• Strength and conditioning
• Endurance development
• Sport-specific preparation
• Mobility and recovery work
• Injury-aware progression and return-to-sport planning
• Event or expedition preparation
Plans are continuously adjusted based on feedback, performance, recovery, and life demands.
Coaching Sessions (Biweekly)
Every two weeks, we meet for a structured coaching session.
These sessions are not just check-ins.
They are a mix of:
• performance review
• training adjustments
• problem-solving
• education on training principles
• mindset and decision-making support
• long-term athlete development guidance
This is where you learn how to become your own coach over time.
Ongoing Coach Access
You have access to coach support Monday–Friday for questions, guidance, and accountability as you implement your training.
This includes feedback on training execution, adjustments, and support navigating real-world challenges.
Athlete Education & Development
A core part of this coaching is education.
You will learn:
• How to structure training and recovery
• How to interpret your body’s feedback
• How to fuel for performance
• How to pace and manage effort
• How to set and adapt goals
• How to manage stress, fatigue, and burnout
• How to make better decisions in training and sport
The goal is not dependency.
The goal is capability.
